Wellness Day | Eniko Suto

  • Linden House 60 Upper Mall Hammersmith (map)

My name is Eniko Suto and I am a certified Yoga teacher based in London.

You have probably read about the benefits of practicing Yoga, especially in today’s busy, modern world. I wish to make Yoga accessible for everybody and offer it to those who haven’t tried it before to give them the chance to do so at their own pace, without fear of not knowing the names of the poses or not being able to bend that way! We were all beginners once. I offer a variety of different paced classes (Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin) which all incorporate meditation and breathing exercises along with mindfulness. I focus on improving technique and deepening the understanding of asanas in physical practice, but I also aim to guide you in your practice to achieve your full potential, connect with your higher self, bring balance and harmony to your life.

Hi Yogi!

It’s a super exciting week because I have some news to share with you – after the success of my wellness retreat day back in January, I’m hosting a whole programme of day retreats throughout the year in London!

The location will be at the beautiful Linden House on the edge of the River Thames in Hammersmith – it’s one of my favourite places to be in London, and I’m so delighted to welcome you all there.

Here’s a reminder of our gorgeous retreat day in January.

Each of these wellness days will reaffirm the importance of yoga in our lives and allow us to reconnect with ourselves through a carefully tailored journey of active and passive yoga, meditation, breathwork, and community. We’ll announce guest speakers on specific topics closer to the time, too.

The next wellness day will be on Sunday 19th May. Bita Habibi, our speaker at the wellness day in January, will rejoin us in May for a ‘Paint Out Your Pain’ session, where we’ll gently explore healthy ways to release our challenges, and there will also be a sound therapy session – it’s going to be deep, cathartic, and ultimately, soothing!

A few words from Bita:

“Our existence on earth is fraught with paradoxical significance. The concepts of day and night, love and hatred, agony, and delight are among the paradoxical meanings that confront us. We conceive that one could not exist without the other in a conventional sense of things; however, emotions, sensations, and comprehensions are more complex than we typically believe.

Certain individuals have given their lives to bear the weight of their suffering, while others strive to eliminate it. Which is superior? Should an existence devoid of suffering be an absolute necessity? Should we instead acquire the ability to assist them? Is the process of instructing us painful? How can our bodies and minds reconcile with them?

On this wellness retreat, we will penetrate the realm of pain and suffering through yoga and talk.”

Structure of the day

The activities: I’ve created a programme of meditation, yoga, sound therapy and talking that takes you on a journey throughout the day, so you’ll leave feeling like you’ve been on a retreat that is a world away.

The community: my retreat days are as much about community as they are yoga, so we have ample time to connect with each other in the morning, at lunch, and afterwards if you choose. Lunch will be a spread of nutritious seasonal fruit, energy balls and delicious overnight oats prepared with care by the team at Linden House.
